Superlow Rims on Street 750

Like the subject reads, I wanted bigger rims, better bling, different gearing and bigger tyre choices. Here is what is happening with replacing rims. These are pix from last night on whats happened at my end. I'm replacing the 15" rear with a 17" and the 17" front to an 18". Both from a Superlow. I just like the black and bare aluminium finish.
On the front - I had to flip the rim, shave it down to the width that would fit in the stock forks, drill new holes for the disc on the opposite side and add grub screws into holes left behind by the disc (need that for balancing the rim & tyre). The fit is amazing. With the 110/80-18 tyre on, it is going to look snug.
On the rear - This rim was for a rigid pulley. I bought the rear compensator bowl from a Nightrod, shaved and reshaped the rubber damper to accommodate the Street stock pulley. Some more work pending to align the disc. I may need to add a 2mm washer on the caliper mount to move it inside by 2mm and it'll be done. Oh yes, the compensator needs to be powder coated with the same crinkle finish as on the pulley. By the way - this is the same diameter as the inside of the pulley and it'll look as if it was a part of the rim all along.
Also on the rear, I have 340mm shocks to make the whole thing look nice and tight.
Cannot wait to ride this

I love that style of wheel, it reminds me of Porsche Fuchs wheels. Looking forward to the end result!

Here she is. Rims and tyres on. Love that stance. Tons of work pending.

Really like it! Think I may do this to mine some day. I wonder how hard it is to find theses wheels?

Not difficult at all. Use this as proof of concept and get the rims you like.

That's the stock seat which has been reshaped and covered up in some aftermarket vinyl.
