Foot Pedal Travel

Hi Guys, I have a 2015 XG500. Since new the amount of travel/movement to engage the rear brake is what I would call excessive. It was approx. 40mm and I found it difficult to have enough ankle dexterity to apply the brake especially when doing hill starts. At it's first service I had them bleed the system, no improvement. I took it back today, they adjusted it, and it has been improved, it is now approx. 30mm.
All the bikes in the showroom (all models including 2016 Streets) only have about 20mm movement.
So what I am requesting ( only if you can be bothered ) is if you could measure the amount of travel in your foot pedal if you have a 2015 model.
( the 2016 model is different according to the service department).
Just so I can ascertain if my bike has an issue or I am being a whiny little girl ( yes I know it's sexist, please insert alternative noun if offended)
Thanks
Eggy

It is a known fact that the 2015 models have excessive rear brake pedal travel. This is one of the issues that have been addressed in the 2016 models, where the entire rear brake system has been redesigned. The changes are a bigger brake rotor, improved brake master cylinder and a more ergonomic design in the actual rear brake pedal resulting in less pedal travel.

Look back in the threads and you will find a listing of all the differences between the 2015 and 2016 Street models.
