Neck bearings bad

I didn't ride for three week which is unusual for me. I immediate noticed rough ratchety action at the bars. I did a quick search and read that others had some problems and being there is nothing else it could be I went after them. Most of the bolts came out, some of them tight all the way out. But one of the low profile head bolts in the lower tree stripped and after multiple tries at lower heat from a propane torch played back and forth trying to save the paint, I snapped a 5/16 easy out in the stuck bolt. I knew then I had to use the half hack saw to cut the bolt through the pinch slot and hope to pry it out. That worked and now it was out and I once again fitted the easy out and cherried the area with the oxy acy torch and got it out but the paint is ruined and rather than paint I wanted to powder coat.
Pic one is the oven with the part going in for outgassing
pic two is the part just after it went wet
pic three is the part after cure
pic four is the finished part waiting for its mate to be done

The lower is finished and in the second shot I'm test fitting the bearing note the seal is installed. So yes you can buy a powder coater for less than $200 and powder coat bike parts.

It cost $22 for the bearings kit and about 25 for the neck bearing puller, I used the old races to drive in the new ones but a puller could easily be made with thread rod and nuts and thick washers of the inside diameter.
