Street 750 front brake jammed

Hi riders, yesterday I had my street 750 front brakes jammed, it had clocked 16k so far and I use it for daily commute in Chennai, It was supposed to be a normal ride to workand i felt the brake lever getting harder on every brake attempt, note I don't go at high speeds within city limits, and I puuled over to see the brakes completely jammed, lucky that it didn't fail on me while still riding. Quite unusual thing I noticed is for a second the front brake lever didn't had any reluctance force and it was free to touch the bar, while at the next minute its hard to press. Called in Chennai service center and they are prompt to come in and check the brakes, replaced brake pads, rotor didn't wear off much, the brake oil holder had some debris, which flowed its way through the line and jammed the brakes(no pulsating movement) they flushed the oil and after that I was back to work. It had just completed its first year and I was wondering anybody else had this issue. I was scared a bit now( not for brakes that jammed, but for the lever to give way and behave as if it had no connection with brakes, I can get to press the brake lever with just a finger movement. And it's totally disconnected from brake pads).

Curious to know ............. had you topped up the brake fluid at all recently, or had reason to remove the brake fluid reservoir cap? Sounds to me like debris got into the fluid, causing this. Did you use new fluid, from an "unopened" container?

I hate autocorrect. I always end up posting some thong I didn't Nintendo.

That or pushed the Caliper Piston so far out. It got stuck. I saw that happen to a car once. The Brake Pads were so worn, Piston overextended its travel.

I dont top up the oils and its all done at service center. And they do use the new fluid from unopened container, as they charge for new containers and discard left overs during servicing and i kill my time watch and learn while waiting for service.
