Yeah i get all that... none of which is true in my case
The triumph gauges are tied to the ecu, meaning they are matched to small batches so replacing gauges is a time consuming and expensive (for security reasons apparently) proposition. I guess what i am asking is:
If i buy a gauges from hd, will i also need to buy an ecu, transponder key and an immobilizer? Based on the prices indicated on the link provided by the user above, i would say not (new ignition switch gas cap and speedo for abot $300) i just need to know if replacements are plug and play, or matched to security components (which they dont seem to be based on inspection).
I picked up the 2017 hg750 for $750, so i am not concerned about resale, just care that my wife like it more than her 2007 shadow 600.
