Tail light inop. while using the hand brake

My tail light does not light while pulling the hand brake. It lights while pushing the foot pedal but not the hand brake. I just recently installed an LED headlight(not Day Maker) might this be causing an issue somehow?

Garage
The headlight should not affect the brake light - I would take a look at the handlebar brake light switch - easy to remove and check and also cheap to replace.

Ok thanks but with 56 total mile on the bike it’s hard to imagine it’s broken or dirty.

Check the connector is plugged in on the hand brake. It comes off easily. I was hanging my helmet on that side and I think that knocked it off.

My wife’s bike has had two new front brake light switches fitted by harley. The third one stopped working the other week, so I just cleaned the terminals. Harley takes ages to get part in. Works fine now.
