I Love the way the Article is written.

Copied and Pasted.

If you have decided to spend your money on a 2015 model year Harley-Davidson Street 500 or Street 750, you might already contact your bar and shield dealer and set up a date. That is recommendable even before you will get a letter or email from your dealer, because the fuel pump of your bike will not wait for them to give you a hard time.

Note the last line. I guess the Author is Biased.

So ****.

I jut bought my 500 and was supposed to pick it up in a few days. Now they legally can't give me the bike and they can't give me an estimated time.

Till they release a 2016 with better brakes, better rear brake pedal, better horn location and cleaner wiring and then you'll be angry waiting for a fix they should have had ready during riding season.

Oh wait, did I just see that?

Don't worry, I think it's entirely appropriate to be mad... Because we all know we're waiting more than two weeks now for even an appointment... I can't even get a flash done here in less than two weeks.

personally, I don't like the original location, to me it's just sticks out like a sore thumb, when first looking at that model in the showroom, that was the first thing I didn't like.

I noticed it right away as an "afterthought" how it just juts out like that. Just an annoyance in regards to the horn though. I've already fixed that by removing the stock horn and carefully placing a new motorcycle air horn on the bike so it's far louder and less visible.

I'm centrally annoyed about the brakes though as its either going to simply "not work", or HD will charge so much for the parts it's not worth it, when in reality, those parts (if compatible) should be sold with just enough to cover cost as there is nothing elective about safer braking, which my personal opinion is that it should have had better brakes from the get-go.

Every review out there basically complained about it, and the fact the next model year they turn around and put new rotors, new calipers, braided lines and reservoirs on the bike (basically redesign the entire braking system) tells me they heard loud and clear they had an issue.

Has anyone heard when the recall parts will be available?

Dealer is waiting for the part before releasing/delivering bike!
