It might be cool to know what other bikes you looked at before you bought your Street 500-750?
Also why you bought from Harley and not the other brand
So let us see why???

I've had nearly every brand of metric bike over many years.


but, a Harley was on my bucket list.
I was looking at a low rider, liked those for years.


but, with my bad knee and lower back, I didn't want another heavy bike.....so I got the street 750 and I like the easy handling and light weight. it has plenty of power too.

If Yamaha had a Water Cooled bike about the size of the Street 750, I would've considered it. To get Water Cooled in Yamaha, You need to go up to a 950. A little big for me to handle. Weight wise. As I have a Broken Collar Bone and Tendonitis in my left shoulder.

Hunter Spyder - handling/cornering was terrible.

Harley SS350 - could not find one

Kawasaki S2 350 triple - could not find one/warned about reliability of old Kwaka triples

Suzuki GT380 - could not find one in decent condition.

Always loved the XLCR's, saw the XG styling & knew I wanted one straight away.

I too had Harley on my bucket list. Previously when looking at various Harley models they were lumpy, big and heavy with a slightly out of reach price tag. The only Harley model I would have considered when first looking was the 883 Low.

With the introduction of the Street 750 it ticked all of my Harley boxes and after my test ride the deal was sealed.

first registered bike in my name was a KH100. had it as a 17 Y/O in the early 90's.
then had an IT175 as I got the itch for offroad, but still wanted the bike as a commuter.
Then went into the custom scooters, lol

Custom Metruck, the only one is Australia at the time, and possibly still
had a few stretch Ruckus' too
then got into the z50's. had a few customs over the years. Love them as they are worth money(for a good one, anywhere from 3-8k), can be stored anywhere, and fit over your shoulder when they break down..lol
I used mine as daily commuters. always smiling

traded this VT750 in towards the Street

I only considered Harley when I started riding. I didn't like the look of the jap bikes and I wanted the cruiser style not a street bike.

Purchase 883 superlow rode it for 3 years then upgraded to my road King a little over a year ago.

The 750 was a bike won at the dealer.

Harley was in my bucket list....and this was the model which was fun to ride and within budget.....

Ok in our case my wife took the Local dealer riding course
So she passed and it was time to buy her something to ride
We talked and looked at Honda rebels, Yamaha V Stars none fit what we were looking for
Then I thought why not buy her the type of bike she took the course on
She took it on a Street 500 (2015)
So i started looking at dealers that could sell at close to Retail
I decided the 750 was the way to go since it would last her before she wanted to upgrade
Bought a 2016 for only the 50$ for the new model year
Few changes from the 2015 and I thought that a good buy ….

I looked at and really wanted a Zero SR but at over 2x the price of the Street 750 I just couldn't justify the cost. That bike is a blast to ride. It's a torque monster - 0-60 in 3.3 seconds.
