Harley-Davidson XG750R

This one is not a styling exercise, but a proper race bike that you can order. Hopefully it is the start of a whole product line for the Street.

Sorry for this, but I'm fairly certain this flattrack machine is not for sale to the general public at this time. They are being built by Vance & Hines Motorsports in Brownsburg Indiana. The official debut for this bike is tomorrow (Sunday May 29th) at the AMA Pro Mile Flattrack in Springfield Illinois. I will be there in the pits, and hope to see it up close. Long time H-D flattrack fans are currently dead set agains it, because of their long standing love of the XR750. However, after 44 years of it racing I'm excited to see a new form of engine (liquid cooled XG750R) being developed.

The following is a Very good write up on the bike.

I really like it! My two favorite parts are the tank and the rims. Well, that and that they're using it. I've never seen a flat track race before, I'll have to find one near me some time, I think I'd really enjoy it.

Apparently V&H are doing a customer bike program but the price is $40,000.

Thumbs up

Spent last Sunday in the pits at the Springfield Mile AMA Pro Flattrack. Spoke with H-D & V&H team about their new racing effort, and it makes me like this powerplant all the more. Plus, makes me excited about our own project, but that's another story.
Hope you enjoy a few pics from the race.
