Red face First impressions

I picked up my 2016 Street on 28/08/16. The first ride was 230 miles to my mom's house. It was mostly motorway. I have not ridden a modern bike (I pxed my 20 year old xv535) The street is quite easy to ride. The mirrors are quite short although i must sit differently from everyone else as I can see out of them.I am 5ft 10 and 18 stone. I averaged over 55mpg there and back. Yes my behind ached and so did my legs and arms but even in the rain i was grinning.

Sweet, 50mpg is really good for a 750. The mirrors are usable for lane changing on the freeway and such. It's in the city when you're at a stop and want to see if you're about to get rear ended that they become an issue. And I've also found that when someone is REALLY tailgating you, which is more often than it should be, they completely vanish as far as my mirrors are concerned.

That's a nice little ride to get used to the bike. They are pretty good on M-ways aren't they? And yes, the mirrors so work fine on multi-lane roads..

Enjoy it!
