Belt life

How many miles should I get before I need to replace the drive belt? I hate to think of getting caught out on the road with a broken belt.

I have always used Diamond chains before on Yamaha bikes. Since I now have a HD Street 750 the sales man told me that the belt will last for at least 100K.

I have over 20,000 miles on my 2015 Street 750 and the belt looks great. I can't say the same thing for my front tire after putting 12,000 miles on it. It has just enough tread left on it to ride it to my dealer come spring to replace it with fresh rubber.
