My 750 got lonely in the garage....

So I got it some company. I went into performance Harley here in Syracuse NY with my wife today. I had a 15% off coupon and wanted a hat. Didn't get the hat but the wife loved the white denim Forty Eight and gave me the clear on it. Took a spot delivery (thanks Bruno!) and rode it home

Congrats! It's a nice color. The 48 is a great looking bike.

Only 1 thing I don't like about the 48, Peanut Tank. We have some townships here in NJ that are Hugh. Every time you drive across and back, You'd have to fill up. Best you can get is what 100 Miles per tank?

I've heard that 100 is possible but I think 80 is more believable. Probably less if you ride like a hooligan

I had initially steered toward the roadster for that reason but the 48 just worked better for me ergonomically. I'll definitely be grabbing a swing arm bag with a fuel bottle for that inevitable "oh crap!" moment. I love the look of the small tank. If it's really a drag I'll buy a 3.3 gallon tank and have it sprayed denim white.

My 750 has gone almost 200 Miles on a Tankful.

Synthetic Oil Helps. If I am not mistaken, Harley said you could run Syn3 oil in all 3 fills. But then I have seen other companies specify Primary Fluid on the bottle. Others say Transmission. Figure it out if I ever get a bigger bike. I like the look of the 1200T.

When I had the 2010 Majesty I, Changed the Oil and filter every 3k Miles. And used the leftover 8 oz. and changed the Rear axle fluid. Over 14k Miles and never and a problem. Tre Axle fluid always came out clean.

Definitely a different machine. The Street is a super fun agile bike that's really easy to ride. The forty eight is much more "agricultural" and raw. At first I was unsure how I felt about that but it's really starting to smooth out after a little engine breakin. That raw feeling is really addictive. Amazing torque.
