Unhappy Help A Fellow Young Harley Street Rider Out

Just got a Street 500 as my first bike and I was cut off leading to a broken hand and totaled bike. I set up a gofundme to help with recovery and expenses. I can't wait to get back onto the road so anything helps!!

Just had to repair my street rod due to an accident. QBE paid for everything except the 500 dollar excess. So I don't understand why a gofundme is needed.

Here in NJ, If the Car caused the accident, Their Insurance will pay for the Bike and Hospital/Doctor bills. Is there a Police Report? Witness?

In NJ the Absolute Minimum Insurance required by law is Liability. Which wouldn't cover any of this persons expenses. Don't know what the requirements in CA are?

Here in Florida you must have insurance before you can buy a tag. Go get you some.

DerpinDjentleman - I'm sure that the less than enthusiastic support of your Go Fund Me campaign is disheartening to you. It's just that your one and only contact with this online community has been to ask for our help without your having done anything to build any rapport with us. We don't know you from Adam. Although that can be said of any of us who are just online names and avatars, many of us feel we know people like Edgar, Max and PropNut, and many others through their posts. Heck, if I were posting from my normal PugslyCat account (I can't get the password reset to work) some people might even say that about me. We even knew Leo (banned), even if we didn't like him.

This is going to hurt, but any objective reader is going to have to question whether your post and Go Fund Me page are a scam. Links to news articles or police reports would be help to make it seem less so. Even finding a way to tell a little bit more about what happened may help.

In Australia we have a CTP Greenslip (Compulsory Third Party) that must be paid with the registration. This covers any injury to another person if you're at fault. Optional comprehensive insurance can be taken out which covers other vehicles and property damage. Luckily I had the lot for my street rod. Not sure how it works in CA though.
