Mixed USA Reviews

The new reviews of the USA produced Street 750 are mixed. But everyone seems to agree that the motor and tranny are great, and the fit and finish are poor.

@Sherri, thanks for compiling the reviews here. Overall i think the street is what most people would expect from an entry-level HD

So it seems like all the reviewers agree as far as their observations about the bike, its just how they interpret those observations to give their ultimate verdict. Are the cheap materials enough to make the street a clunker, or is the engine and performance good enough to overcome its use of cheap materials?

I'm gonna go with that. So far even from the feedback and write up from users who have actually seen it have said the same. Just little things that we can look in to fixing that won't cost us a fortune. So to hear the engine and tranny pass the test im all in.

Honestly after seeing a Street on a dealer showroom, the only two things that have a low quality appearance are the foot controls (but look at the clunky hardware supporting the floorboards and crash bars on a big Harley bagger and you can see the shared genetics, big flat hunks of steel plate cut unelegantly to perform a task, look at the brake pedal on a bagger, it too sits on an awful looking hunk of cut steel), that messy mass of wiring running along the right side of the neck and the similar wiring mess down by the right foot peg. The rest looks fine. There is none of the flimsy plastic body panels, poorly plated fasteners that rust from a single humid day or the dreadful chromed plastic (chromed plastic, gak!) that are the coin of the realm on even some expensive Japanese cruisers.
