I was promised that the dealer had 8 750's on order and they would be there in two weeks. That was 4 weeks ago and at last word there no word when they would arrive. I am thinking of dropping the Harley and going with another brand like Stare or Honda.
I know your frustration, once I ordered a Mercedes-Benz that was brand-new and it was on a waiting list for nine months. The car was a present for my wife and she was getting really antsy about it after three months of waiting far it. I kept checking around at other Mercedes-Benz dealers and one day I walked into a dealer and they said they had one in the back and the order was canceled.
Me and another fellow walking in the back to take a look at the car, the other fellow was not interested because of the price of the car I looked at the salesman and said: can you add a phone and CD player to it, he said yes, I bought it right on the spot. I canceled my order at the other dealer and got my money back.
The moral of the story is: keep checking around and keep calling other dealers and you may find one in stock, don't hesitate to pick it up immediately, even if it means you have to drive 100 miles to get it. I know for a fact when it comes to motorcycle you may have to go out of your way to get the one you want.
One more thing be prepared to pay full sticker price; when there's a hot item nobody makes a deal with you.
Remember, a Harley-Davidson is a Harley and a Honda it's just another motorcycle.
It's almost like there are plenty of watches out there, but there is only one Rolex.
