Safety Recall Notice for Street 500

Did anybody receive a Recall Notice mail from NHTSA? I received a mail from them today. Here is the summary:

"HD motor company has decided that certain model year 2015 Street family fails to conform to FMVSS No. 108, Lamps, reflective devices, and associated equipment. These motorcycle may have been build without a rear reflector, P/N 59988-72A.

It is required that new motorcycles are equipped with a red reflex reflector on the rear of the motorcycle. The absence of this reflector could reduce the rear conspicuity of the vehicle."

I am going to contact my HD dealer today and see what they say about it.

What did they do? Installed a reflector? Do you have photos?

I'm also curious to see what they do. I received my notice yesterday. I need my gas tank looked at for the last recall too; but, I'm waiting for both until I hit the 1,000 mile mark for service. Won't be long, now that Spring is finally here in West Michigan!

Thanks. I hope to get rid of the plastic crap under the tail in the near future, maybe even change the rear tail to a more conventional fender.

Just got back from Italy, my notice was waiting. Took the bike in the next day for the reflector install. It just snaps into the lower license plate frame holes. Looks alright I guess, easy to delete if needed.
