I would like to chime in with my recent experience. I just (today) put on a pair of these grips from Lowbrow customs. I bought the 1" GT Grips.
Lowbrow Customs GT Grips Black 1"
To my surprise and satisfaction, it came with a 7/8 bore left side grip and a 1 inch bore grip for the throttle side.
The throttle side went on after a bit of suffering. I used hairspray to initially "lube" and then to glue in place. I had to twist and twist and twist. This sucker was tight on the throttle tube. AND they would not fit over the 1/8' or so wide lip at the control side of the throttle tube. The grip is maybe 1/4" longer than the throttle tube and bar, but I can't feel that at all. So, unless I want to someday install bar-end something or other, it's a non-issue.
The other side slipped onto the bar almost TOO easy. Right now the hairspray is holding it firm, but if it loosens, I'll have to remove it and wrap the bar tubing with tape. Or use another type of glue stuff.
Most rubber grips I've used have a little hole in the end, which you can stick a skinny screwdriver into to facilitate removal OR installation. No hole on these. These grips are EXTREMELY beefy and rubbery. I expect to like them.
On the throttle side, on that lip that the grip wouldn't go over, I put a thin section of the old grip that I cut away with a razor blade. I purposely made it snug, to provide some friction at the twist grip. So it's almost, but not quite a push-pull throttle this way. It will help with right hand numbness. I only recomend this for experienced riders though.
So, let's see if I can post the pics I took.
