Shocks

Hey all, I'm looking to swap out the chrome shocks for a pair of black ones. Does anyone have an idea of what brand/size to go with? I'm about an average guy (5' 8", 150lbs), just looking more into blacking out the entire bike and possibly improving the ride.
Thanks

Black is better than chrome......

http://www.progressivesuspension.com...n/xg750-street

Progressive now has the Street models listed, finally. (although the motorcycle pictured on their page, isn't a Street, LOL). They have a couple different shocks and two different prices. I haven't seen the Street-specific kits on other sites, but their prices seem to be less than the manufacturer's site. (I got mine off of e-bay for $$ less)

I had used a Sportster kit from Progressive and it worked fine, as it included spacers for different sized bolts.
Also you get to use some different lengths, if you want.
I went with 12 inch instead of 13 which was great and helped compensate for my Tall Boy Seat, in terms of bringing the profile back down a little.
However, since changing to forward controls, I scraped those on a tight turn. Might go back to 13 inch now that I have the forward controls and have gone back to original seat. (Corbin Gunfighter and Lady seat is on the way)

12 inch black shocks for sale.

I have a pair of Black 12 inch heavy duty Progressive 412 shock for sale. These have used about 5000 miles. I have changed to forward controls and need a little more ground clearance so have changed back to 13 inch shocks.
No complaints about the shocks I just need a little more height.
I know others have lowered from 13 inch shocks to 11 or 10.5, but that seems like too much change to me. Let me assure you, 1 inch difference really does lower the mass significantly.
And I think the black looks so much better than the stock chrome shocks.
So, I would love to see this put on another XG750. PM me and pay $130 and I will ship them to you. PayPal seems like the best way to handle transaction at this time. I frankly haven't looked at shipping costs, but think that is about $30 and so I am figuring $100 for used shock absorbers. Will be sent with mounting hardware and spacers that were used to mount it on my bike. They were originally marketed by Progressive as shocks for Sportster, but came with spacers which allowed easy installation.
