Question for firebrand

Do both of your models fit with factory OEM brackets and hardware, and please try and desribe the differences in the two. Looking for real deep throaty sound, yet with some popping and banging with shift change, heavy throttle. Thx

Hello Robeyeshua. I have the Grand Prix on mine. Yes it Uses the Stock Clamp. And fits right up to the Stock Bracket. Using the Factory Hardware. The GP is the Louder of the two. The Loose Canon gives the option of a DB Killer. To quieten the sound. Note: I had to get a V&H FP3 for mine. As I also have a K&N Drop In filter. But eventually May upgrade to the Cone Filter. The one that looks like the Lowrider S.

Same here, got the Grand Prix on my 500. It's a bit loud on long cruises, but earplugs take care of that. It looks so much like stock that some people don't even realize I've replaced the stock muffler. It's a perfect match for the bike. It definitely gives the bike the proper sound. I haven't had a chance to get an FP3 yet, so mine is running on the base tune. Seems to work fine.

Hey Rob,
The guys did a great job in describing our exhaust. The main differences between the Grand Prix and Loose Cannon are the look and that you can use a Quiet Insert in the Loose Cannon. The internals of the baffles are identical so without the Quiet Insert installed they both sound almost identical. From what you are describing I think either system will get you what you are looking for (of course I say that). This forum has a lot of great members with good, informed feedback so you really cant go wrong seeing what people are saying. We just shipped more Loose Cannons and Grand Prix to our distributors so everyone should have stock (if not now, very soon).
Thanks for your interest in Firebrand, we look forward to hearing your feedback as well!

They should be available any day now. We shipped out a bunch to our distributors over the past week. Sorry for the delay!

I was finally able to order a loose cannon from revzilla, but now I can't find the db killer, did u guys stop making loose cannon and db killer? My main reason for wanting loose cannon over speed merchant was to have the db killer option.

Sorry you are having problems finding the Quiet Insert. We actually just received orders in from our distributors so they must have recently sold out. We do have a few left in stock that will be shipping out in the next day or so and have more in production now.

Yeah, they (Revzilla) cancelled my order for the DB killer 3 weeks ago because it was backordered. They did hook me up with some credit for the inconvenience though. Love Revzilla.
