Fitting hd fork tube & steering stem covers

Anyone had trouble fitting the HD fork tube and steering stem cover kit #45800056 ?

No chance of the for covers going in the hole & the steering stem cover is not hitting anything to stick on. Think I might have to adjust the triple trees.

I have the set on mine. Used a piece of wood and a Mallet to bop the Fork covers in. The Steering Stem is held on by Sticky tape. Had to peel the paper off first. Make sure the Screw head is clean.
