Vance and Hines fell off the bike and now sounds great

I was cruising along the toll road and heard a terrible sound. I pulled over and stopped immediately. A few months ago I replaced my drive belt. I guess I didn’t tighten the slip on bolts tight enough.

It was in amazing shape considering it got bounced around in traffic at 70-80 mph.

What’s interesting is it sounds great. The baffle is in it. No holes. It’s definitely cranked on their now. But it sounds like my vrod that has 2 into 1 pipes. What would cause that? There’s nothing visibly wrong with it.

Attached pics. It’s not without its blemishes. But everything looks in place. Why so much louder?

Garage
All the carbon build-up inside knocked free of the little holes allowing a free flow and more sound?

I got this one figured out after looking at pictures at the end of the V&H muffler. That screen in there isn't the baffle. So it did fall out.

I clamped down the clamp nut really tight. And only replaced one rear bolt (the error). I also must not have tightened it enough. It sure did vibrate itself loose and make it through that hole. The rear muffler to frame bolt was still on there...

That's -1 for me. But Harley sent me home with a lag-n-leap bike (-1), then the new recalled fuel pump they put in doesn't seem to have a working fuel light sensor (-1). And the reason I had to take the bike apart in the first place is the drive belt pulley bolt snapped and shredded the drive belt. (-1)

So far:

Harley -3
Liquiddog -1

The good news is the bike sounds great now! I'm running auto-tune and it seems to have more top end as well.
