checking in from N Fl

Greetings from sunny Florida!

We just picked up a Street 750 for my wife as a daily rider. she has only had her endorsement for a couple months and really didn't like the feel of the shaft drive on our Honda Shadow. The Guys down at Harley kept an eye out for a Street for us to come in as a trade and in about a week they found is a '15 750 with 1533 miles on it. She is a little short for my Dyna but this works great for her and I'm really enjoying the bolt on changes that she wants.
win/win

it came in with some weird skittle purple guards on it... gone for chrome. swapped the pegs and foot controls, added bags, changing the exhust this weekend. who knows what is next.

Congrats on the bike. And thank-you for removing the nightmare-inducing purple guards. I just can't imagine where that was headed. And if you want to have some more fun, I think the change that makes the most difference for me is having changed the grips. Just a thought. (well, the mirrors, of course have to be extended), but after that - change those grips.

Not all those who wander are lost.

Yeah, grips, and mirrors are on the short list. She want chrome handlebars. I figure, I'll hammer that all at once.

it also had purple pegs but the dealership did something with those... the old owner has a Silverado with purple rims and bumper from what I understand.

The firebrand loose cannon sounds magnificent.a little bit louder but WAY better than stock.

I got a 750 also, I am sure you will enjoy yours. I added a V&H competition pipe as well as a K&N high flow airfilter.

Edgar, I made the same changes as you did on your 750. Your next upgraded should be the FP3 fuel controller, which I did after making the exhaust and intake filter upgrades.

did you just put the K&H inside the Harley housing, how do you feel like it affected the performance?

debating a K&H or the Vance and Hines free flow options... maybe screaming eagle....

I guess they all perform about the same. I was considering buying the K&N that fits within the existing housing, but opted for the aesthetic appearance of the "outside" one. It looks pretty sharp - sorry no picture. Performance wise it should have added about 7 horses to the output. With the V&H competition pipe it should be even more. My next purchase will be the Fuelpak3 so I get the maximum performance out of the combo.
