Question Back in the Saddle Again

Iím Bill and I started riding when I was 12. However, life happened and itís been several years since Iíve straddled a bike. Well, the bug bit me and yesterday I bought a Street Rod. Unfortunately, Iím 6í5Ē and it just doesnít fit. Iím all scrunched up and I know I couldnít handle a long trip. Iím a professional photographer and want to use it for trips of 300-500 miles.

The dealer is willing to swap so Iím thinking an Iron 1200 or a Sportster Roadster. I donít really want one of the big guysómy budget is about $13,000.

I would really appreciate your recommendations on this. Which bike would be the best fit and best suited for longer trips?

Thanks for your advice and help. I really appreciate it.

I would go with the Iron with the mini apes. Add forward controls. Just my opinion though!! Good luck!!!

If you're going to be travelling 300-500 miles you might want to consider the 1200 sportster with the 3 gallon gas tank instead of the peanut tank. Just my 2 cents.
