Hello from Indianapolis

Hello from Indy. The new HD 500/750 Street bikes look VERY interesting to me as in the past I've owned big (read large displacement) bikes in the past, and have no desire to own one again. Always owned metric bikes and since HD's were always large displacement I never paid them much attention.

HD's decision to enter the mid displacement segment is IMO a smart move, the Japanese have almost totally abandoned it except for sportbikes. Needless to say HD has gotten my attention with these two bikes. As of now I'm leaning towards the 500.

No real plans as of now other than if I buy one to yes, ride the wheels off of it. Can't wait to actually see one in person and ride it.

Here's my current bike, yes... I know... It's a Rebel. I used to laugh at them years ago but bought this '09 back in July of 2012 with 5200 miles on it. It now has right at 15,000 miles on it. I've ridden it all over central Indiana, even been over into Illinois this past summer. It's a blast to ride, will cruise at 60-65 mph all day long, and get's 85 MPG. Done quite a few modifications to it. Thinking about maybe going slightly larger in displacement, and that is why the Street 500/750 really caught my eye. The Japanese offer nothing really in this class other than sport bikes, and my racer days are LONG over.

@firehawk Thats one sweet bike. Are you going to keep it or sell it when it comes time to get the Street 500 or 750?

If you were to sell it, how much do you figure you can get for it?

Honestly I'd like to keep it. Trying to talk my wife into riding. If I were to sell it, I really have no idea what it's worth. Maybe $1800-$1900ish...
