Time to leave this site.

I finally gave up trying to get a deal on the 500 or 750.
I bought a new 883 today for less than any deal I could make on the other two.
Sixty years of riding & tomorrow will be my first day on a Harley Davidson. (They are delivering it to my house.)

That sucks, at least you got a nice 883 to play around with. I'm sure some guys here won't mind seeing and being involved in some discussion about it in the OT section... so at least you won't be completely gone

The 883 Sportster is a great motorcycle albeit different in many respects when compared to a Street 500 or Street 750. I'm sure you'll enjoy riding it a lot just like I love my Sportster.

That doesn't mean you have to leave this forum of course. We'd still love to read about your riding experiences on the Sportster. I'd guess that 90% of riding a motorcycle has little to do with the brand or model of the motorcycle.

I have to agree with StoneFree on this one. You can always give us a rundown on the bike and give us a comparison of the 883 Sportster to the street. This will help those people that also fall into your situation where a dealer will not make him/her a deal on these newer bikes. If you have been riding far 60 years, then you are a plethora of information.

That's what I was thinking, since most guys on here seem to like more than just the Street, although it's what most people here own or want to, for the most part.
