Global Warming... REALLY??????

It snowed here yesterday. Warmed up enough to melt off before nightfall.
This morning, at 8:30 AM, I decided I would walk out to the mailbox. On the way back, I am headed directly into the bleeping arctic wind, and it feels like the end of January, not the end of March. So I just checked the thermometer out back of the house and it says -2*F, yes MINUS two after the sun has been up for a couple hours. Ummm, where is this global warming that I hear so much about? I am impatiently waiting for it. We have had two of the most brutally cold winters the last two years that I can remember. And below zero at the end of March?... there is one for the WTH file.

My bike is serviced and ready to roll. Guess I have to wait until June to get above 35*F to ride it.

I feel your pain. Last month was the sixth coldest here on record. Looks like after Easter will be the start of perfect riding weather here.

Update:
According to my trusty t-mometer, it was still only +14*F at 4:30 PM yesterday.
8:00 AM this morning, and it is -4*F. Supposed to be all the way up to +19*F today. Oh boy, regular heat wave.
I read in the newspaper a couple weeks ago that our local average temperature for February was 18.8*F below average. Seeing as how it hasn't let up, I can hardly wait to see March's figures.

i envy you folks that can ride year round.

Finally!

It finally made it into the 40s today. There was still salt on the roads, but I couldn't take it any more and rode my bike anyway. It was probably only 8 miles, but it felt good to be out on two wheels again.

Well, it has been snowing about every day since my last post five days ago. How depressing.

The 4 year (so far) drought in California has been all over the news lately. Sounds pretty dire. We got pounded, repeatedly with snow this year and certainly have plenty to spare. I would be more than happy to share it with you, but you have to pay for the shipping. Deal?

FINALLY made it up to 60* today, and I added a few miles to my bike and my old Studebaker truck. All in all, it was a great day. Supposed to be near 50 tomorrow, so I will get some more riding in. Then it is back to highs down below freezing again. I guess it can't stay cold forever... or can it?

The lack of rain here in California is crazy. The hills in NorCal are already starting to turn brown. I am very concerned about water and how to save it. I wish you could send some rain or snow this way.
The upside is that we have been able to ride all winter with mid temps.

Hopefully things will turn around there. But if you get thirsty, come on over here and we will share our snow and water with you. Make sure you dress warm and drive the cage though, lol.
