Black Canyon of the Gunnison, Colorado

Since it is winter I try to calm myself by reviewing where I went last year when it was warm.

Not a very big park. But really nice to visit and only about one and a half hours from the house.

The ride down to the bottom...... my summer helmet showing....

Pictures in other areas of the park.... and the wife and I

She hates this picture...

On the way home....

Great day!

Must suck to live were there's no riding at all during the winter. At least we get a few days throughout the year to ride in the Seattle area. During winter they my be few (and cold) but at least they happen.

Of note I'm "snow-birding" it down to Arizona in February and while I'm flying I might rent a Harley while there if the weather is good. I often rent which allows me to both ride and also check out other Harleys that I've never been on before. Sort of two fun things for the price of one.

Always remember that for every mile of highway there are two miles of ditches.

Sorry the weather limits your seat time. I live in Tampa, Florida and ride all year, except when there are heavy summer T-storms.

Great shots! I'm moving to CO at the end of the month from Brooklyn, but I'll be on the other side of the Divide, where I understand the weather can be a bit milder at times. Looking forward to some open roads after my entire motorcycle career being spent in the mean streets of NYC.
