Backpack and security

What type of backpacks do you all use and also how do you secure your helmet to your bike when you get to your destination?

The backpack was about $150 but the one HD makes that straps around the sissy bar is great. It is very big inside, holds all your kit on the go, and stays securely in place while riding (with or without a rear passenger). It is even waterproof (and comes with a rain sock as well).

I got tired of strapping a bag to my back when going to university with laptop, iPads, books, my research, etc. and I didn't want to just "strap" a bag down containing all that stuff. The bag holds all my stuff and when I get to campus I just then use it as a traditional backpack.

For my helmet I just use one of those locking carabiners. It slips through one of the metal loops of the strap then just leave it on the rear seat. If someone wants it they will have to cut the strap but that then makes the helmet useless to wear.

I use this:

I run the cable through the face shield so they can't just cut the strap.

Thanks

i use a givi trunk, mounted to the H-D quick release luggage rack. it easily fits the yellow helmet in the pic along with a few tools and tire patching kit

only worry, is that anyone who knows the quick luggage release can make off with it rather quickly. i'm lucky so far that where i park the bike there is a security guard to nearby
