Upgraded Calipers And Lower Controls

Just finished upgrading my front/rear calipers and installed forward controls. I purchased all products from free spirits. Going for a test ride tomorrow. I'll let you how it rides.

My problem with the rear braking system is ergonomic more than anything. Has anyone found a better rear brake foot pedal? That is, one easier to engage. I like the looks of the one in Drkhall's photo but I'm not interested in "forward controls" at this time. That said though, I'm interested in hearing the ride report.

But as per Harley the newer Streets have Brembo Calipers itself. Are these the same ones on an older Street or something better?

Not sure but I think the main problem is actually the master cylinder being to soft, the 16 have a real "tight" or low freeplay in them, was thinking of switching to the newer master cylinder or getting a longer rod put on mine ss I dont like how far I have to push mine either.

Test ride went well. The forward controls really stretch you out especially if you have drag bars. The front brake is super touchy. I had some issues breeding the rear brake. Overall, it was a good investment for me. I'm pleased.

Wait wait wait, this is the kit everyone else was talking about? [email protected], ok, I see the 4 piston Brembos, and I love Brembos... However, what model did they get that caliper from? I am sure Brembos R&D did not specially make a caliper for our Street models, as the kit would be 3 times more than what it is now... I went with a fellow Hoosiers kit, Nick at One Off customs, and Adam at ASC Coatings, for a fraction of the price... Maybe at the cost of having the front caliper is what it cost me with everything total for both front and rear for the Nissin setup, which is also 4 piston fixed styled calipers... Not the factory sliding pin automotive crap... Any help would be greatly appreciated and thank you kind sir

I would have to look at the model number. The bracket that holds the caliper is custom. Must Brembo calipers should fit if they us the same bolt pattern.

Brembos fitted as standard on 2016 model. This is the only breaking system HD have used in the UK as we did not get the Street prior to the 2016 model.
