Seen the stonefree aluminum grill but haven't seen anybody who has actually done it looking to get an opinion on it also curious of what it actually is or if there are any other options out there

Do you have a link or any more description? Is it like the metal radiator grill sold by Tuffside to replace the stock plastic one?

Yea, that looks to be similar in nature to the Tuffside/Chappell Customs grill I linked to. Either of these should protect the radiator from smaller debris than the stock, plastic grill due to having smaller holes.

It looks like the Tuffside/Chappell Customs grill is a complete replacement. The edges aren't as finished as I really want, though.

I can't really tell on the Stone Free product. One of the photos notes that "Shroud not included", so it reuses some of the H-D components. I'm not sure if the grill pops out of the shroud on the stock one or if the Stone Free grill just gets applied over the stock grill.

I just ordered up the R&G grille guard. I'm going to see how it looks mounted without the ugly plastic piece in place.

The grille showed up today. Seems it was the last one in the U.S.. It protects the radiator much better than that big ugly plastic piece they supply from the factory. The bike also lost about 3 lbs. You can either use it alone or behind the factory plastic piece. I like it much better without. It looks like it came like this from H-D. The regulator is the only thing that kind of stands out though they mounted it much better on the Street Rod from the pictures of the 750/500's I've seen. Here are a few crappy pics.

I like the look of that! The lower profile and metal construction are certainly appealing. I don't have issue with the stock grill that causes me to want to replace it, but should anything happen to it I would probably try to go this route.
