Free Spirits Aftermarket Parts for the Street/Street Rod

I purchased a few of their parts for the XR1200 I have in the garage. Great stuff. I have the sprocket guard in route for the Street Rod. I will probably be going with the front and rear brake upgrade as well. Have a look-see.......

Stick a photo up Scooter when you've fitted it. I've just received the Stealth Air Filter kit from S&S, for my Street Rod, nice, and with the Air 1 cover - nicer. Will have to make some time to fit it now, but for the moment it can join the S&S Teardrop filter that I am trying to make time for to fit on my 48.

Oh these First World problems.

The sprocket guard should be here sometime this week. All of the Free Spirit stuff comes from England. Takes a while.

I'd like to see the intake once fitted. I really do like the OEM box. I just cut out the two snorkles and opened it up behind the screen. I'm sure it is pulling in more than enough air.

I'll stick a photo up when it's on Scooter. I agree the standard air box is quite decent looking, but you know how it is with Harley's, you just have to make it your own.

Odd your Free Spirits stuff is coming from here, they're an Italian company aren't they?

The major re-seller is AR Harley & Sons. I have always ordered through them. That's a British firm, yes? The package was sent Royal Mail. But you are correct, Free Spirits is an Italian based firm.

The guard showed up today. Installed in less than 15 minutes start to finish. I like the raw industrial look it gives. I am contemplating taking a Dremel to all the lower belt guard mounting points to clean things up a bit. Here are a couple quick pics in the poorly lit garage.

Looks ok Scooter, yep A&R Harley are a good dealer, very much on the ball.

Have you had a look at R&G Racing? They do an upper and lower belt guard for the Street which look better than stock IMO. Fixings should be the same I reckon.

Thanks for the R&G link. While I'm not crazy about the belt guards I do like the radiator grille. I just wonder if one could run just the R&G grille and leave the plastic piece off to clean the front up a bit? I'll have to shoot them an email.
