New mirrors

Hi,

Just thought I would post some pics of the wifes bike with her new mirrors on it. As we all know the standard mirrors are rubbish, so I bought some Fat Bob ones which are not as tall, but have longer arms. They were much better. She has always wanted them under the bars though, so instead of drilling right through the bars I cut about 20mm off the threaded part, bought some mirror mount clamps and bent the street mirror arms to 90 degrees and put them on the bars between the grips and the controls. I decided to keep the Fab Bob mirrors incase she wants them on top of the bars again. She says they work a treat. Iíve got her some smoked indicator lenses and a black LED headlight for her birthday next week. Im saving for a Bassini megaphone exhaust for aswell.

New mirrors

Hi,
I cut the dome bit off a 5/16 dome nut. I also cut about 20-25mm off the threaded part of the standard mirrors and put that in the mirror hole, so I could screw the dome bit to it. Going to spray them black aswell.

That is a well done modification that a lot of people have asked about. A few have done it, but this is the most detail I've seen on parts list and DIY instructions.

Let's face it, almost anything is better than the stock mirror installation, including things that H-D offers as add on parts and solutions they had previously implemented on other bikes.
