Saved a rust bucket from the scrap yard. 2-1/2 years of rust repair, mechanical, and electrical work... it is my summertime daily driver, hauls a trailer frequently, and has even hauled firewood and building supplies.
The powertrain is from a 1982 Ford F150- 302 engine, C6 auto transmission, and 9" rear axle.

Drivetrain
Ford 302 with a 2 barrel carb, stock exhaust manifolds with dual turbo mufflers exiting in front of the rear tires.
C6 automatic transmission using the original "three-on-the-tree" column shifter.

Interior
Basic... a couple seats from a 94 Chevy minivan. The instrument cluster is from the 82 F150, all else is stock including the optional heater, called a "Climatizer".
Exterior
Body is mostly stock. The bottom of the bed was replaced with one cut from a late model Dodge Ram truck.
Lots and lots of sheet metal fabrication, welding, Bondo, primer, sanding and paint.
Glass is all new except for the original rear window.

Audio
What do you need in car entertainment for? Listening to the gas guzzling V8 is all the music I need. If I get tired of that, I whistle.

Stock Studebaker- rides like a lumber wagon... literally.
