What is stopping anyone from buying a used ecu and flashing it, then swapping it for the factory one? Then you could swap the factory one back in when you need work done. Has anyone tried this?

If they work like an Automotive ECM, Have to be installed and programmed first. Otherwise they will show the Incorrect VIN, Odometer. FP3 allows you to revert to the Stock Flash for Service. Note: You will loose any Stored Codes. So you would need to ride it until the Code happened again. I took my 750 into the shop with the FP3 Flash. Dealer questioned why the Calibration Code didn't match the records. It wasn't a problem at my Chapel.
