Good day! I’d like to know if this is a good deal for a brand new 2017 SR. My local HD offering me $4999 for it. Is this a good deal or keep looking? If yes, which is more good looking? Gray or the gloss black? Sadly they dont have green.

Also, how can i tell me if has a ABS? I see on the left side of the brake has 2 cord and on the right has 1. Does this means it has ABS?

Hi

In the UK the Rods are about £6795 ($8597 US dollars) new - therefore $4999 US dollars?? is around £4000 so it does appear to be a good price.

Wit regard to ABS. I may be wrong and would be happy to be corrected by anyone on the forum but I believe the ABS became standard on the 2017 bikes. One thing I would be wary of though is could this be a 2016 bike registered in 2017?? But, and this is the thing that would make me say yes it has ABS is the 'cords' that you refer to would likely be the ABS cables. I am sure the dealer would be able to tell you though?

The grey would be the best deal as well as anything other than black is usually a bit more expensive! But in my opinion the black does look a better colour - my opinion and I am biased as I have one - but not the Rod just the Street.

Botty - hey, thanks for your reply! Yes its 2017, i saw om Harley’s page it says ABS is standard. I believe it might be as part of US market sometimes they are more restricted with safety.

Yeah, im leaning towards on Charcoal Gray and it has 34 miles on it. One i thing i checked is the Neutral lol!
Its there and im not having a hard time switching on “N”

You are not mistaken, its $4999 + and all that tax, doc, vin and reg. Comes to total of $6200 USD

Well I would say go for it - like I said previously, I do not have the Rod but have a Street and I love it. At that price it is a good deal.

With regard to neutral - by all means read what people put on web sites but don't get too hung up about it, some people have had problems with head bearings, some can't find neutral and some have had engines blow up after a long ride. As I typed 'SOME PEOPLE' have these issues, the vast majority of riders don't. Personally, once my bike is warm I have never ever had an issue finding neutral, when it's cold it can be a bit of an issue but it's never cold for long!

So the next post we see from you will be a picture of a Grey Street Rod then ??

Take care.
