Rear Brake Pedal

@statbat - Totally agree with the cut, bend and re-weld being the best option. I had my local shade-tree mechanic put it into the vise, cut a 'V' out of the pedal metal at the factory bend area, smack it with a BFH, re-welded it and the rear foot brake is no longer an exercise in right footed ballet. This is the first thing I did after my first exciting stop.

Hi
I know this is an old thread but if anyone reads it, the brake pedal can be raised and lowered with the end of the muffler to get more adjustment.
It depends on how your bike was put together.
The bracket that holds the muffler to the frame by three bolts also has the rear brake master cylinder attached to it. If you slack the three bolts,
hold the end of the muffler and move it up and down you will see the brake pedal move up and down.
Hold it where you want it and tighten the three bolts.
Check your brake light and brake adjustment after.

Regards
RDF.
