500s starting to hit dealers in US?

There is a thread on the new Street models at Adventure Rider Motorcycle Forum in the road warrior section. A member there that does the rider training program says the 500s that are to be used as the Riders Edge bikes are just now hitting the dealers. He said he would soon be writing about his riding impressions of said motorcycle. He sounds very positive about the 500 so far.

Thanks for posting this, looking forward to seeing what he has to say about the Street and what epic pictures he will take with it! Especially after seeing that epic photo on his website.
I called my local dealer today and they told me they didn't expect any Streets until June. Granted, this is for the general public, not including motorcycle schools.
figured the street 500s would probably hit the schools first.
It will make sense that they do, good thing with that is that people might want to buy one after learning how to ride on one at school

I'm sure that Harley Davidson thought about that. They are trying to target new riders, and I think that many of the people who go to riding school do not yet have a motorcycle of their own. It would only make sense that if you liked the motorcycle you learnt on, you might go out and buy it later.

Hopefully we get some members on the forum who have had a chance to ride the Street 500 at riding school or some test ride event, like the one in OC recently.
