Hey I'm Haulin and I just put a deposit down on a 750 today and figured I would stop in a say hi. I'm a motovlogger from Northern Canada who likes to rip it up on his bikes. I'm certainly not new to bikes, I watched my old man wrench on them when I was young and it's always been in me.

Normally I screw around on a Fatboy but I have ambitions of turning the street into a beast. I want to see what a guy can get out of the engine in on of these things. 0:)

Welcome aboard. So far we've only had one member that was serious about engine performance and I don't know how far they went. He took a Street 750 to Bonneville for land speed record attempts and posted about it awhile back. Hopefully he'll be back this coming spring when he starts gearing up to return to Bonneville.

Outside of simple minor performance enhancements related to intake and exhaust and reprogramming the electronics I don't know of anyone that's been willing to actually tear down the motor and rebuilt it with increased perforance in mind. The engine itself does provide many opportunities because it's a very good platform for that. I've read on other forums where AMA Pro dirt track racing maybe in the future for the Street 750 engine. Obviously those people will be tearing the engine down, changing the cams, intake, exhaust, pistons, etc. in seeking maximum performance. It is a fun area that I'm not planning on going into (at least at this time).

I'll have to go find the thread on that member ... that's exactly what I'm up to. Someone has to go blow up a motor or two to figure out what you can do with em 0:)

Having been involved on auto racing and building race engines it's more about figuring out what not to do to an engine. LOL Sometimes it's just about spending more money on better parts (e.g. reducing rotating mass in the engine) and sometimes it's about sacrificing durability for short term performance (e.g. higher lift and longer duration cams that require higher spring loading on the valves). In almost all cases it just a matter of "cubic dollars" because of custom machining and materials required for performance.

... what not to do and finding the right people to help you out along the way, building that collective knowledge. I don't think $$ will be an obstacle with this bike, its more or less finding out who has what for it, being that it's still a relatively new engine and going from there. The dealership isn't much help at the moment, but the guys in the back are eager to bring back info for me when they get back from meetings in the US in the new year.
