* * MOTORCYCLE LANDSPEED RACING NEWS * *
DATELINE: Chesterton Indiana USA.

Since we are approximately 90% there in regards to finializing receipt of our new motorcycle, we thought it time to announce the 2014 plans for

Hoosier Daddy Racing - Motorcycle Landspeed Team.

1. Our record setting XLCR 1000 is undergoing a complete engine, chassis, and cosmetic rebuild in preparation for this year's Bonneville Motorcycle Speed Trials.

2. We have been working with the Harley-Davidson Race Department since last November when we first approached them with a sponsorship proposal regarding their new "Street" model. Their introductory videos describe this new bike as being modeled after the original XLCR Cafe' Racer, and geared towards a young market. Seeing as my son is 21 years old, and already races an XLCR it seemed like a perfect match up, and apparently they think so too. Though the bike is not in our hands as of yet; we are hoping it happens in the very near future. We know the clock is ticking for this year's Speed Trials, but are very encouraged by our latest discussions.

We are planning on entering anywhere from 1 - 3 different classes.
This will be aboard the New Harley-Davidson XG500 Street model.

Plus, hopefully back up and increase our existing record on the XLCR.

Awesome !

But I wonder why they are going to use the 500 instead of the 750 ?
"They" is me, and we are going to race an XG500 for a couple reasons. 1. Able to receive that displacement motorcycle earlier. 2. Specific records we are aiming for.

Cool, Gears. Keep us posted how it turns out.
really interested in what you guys crack out, especially if you're trying to stay true to the original XLCR;) I've always thought the street was a bit cafe-ish yet with seat and ergos that don't match.
Nice! Can't wait to see what the landspeed stats turn out to be.

Nice to hear can't wait to see your 500 in action ;)
We Picked up two more major sponsors!!

Michigan City Harley-Davidson (where my son/rider works).
Kersting's Harley-Davidson (They are close friends, and the whole Kersting family loves all forms of motorcycle racing).

Both dealerships are in Indiana, and very close to us.

Should have some other exciting news in the next week or two.

Stay tuned for more about the 2014 Hoosier Daddy Racing - Motorcycle Landspeed Team,
and the addition of a New 2015 Harley-Davidson XG500 Street to our lineup.

We had an awesome day at Harley-Davidson today Thursday June 26.
First stop was at the Juneau Ave factory where we picked up all of the parts Harley-Davidson is letting us use for our Street 500 Bonneville Racer.

The next stop was at the Harley-Davidson Museum where we met with H-D race manager Kris Schoonover to discuss our project, and related race plans.

Lastly, though the Livewire display and test ride wasn't open to the public yet we managed to get in and have somewhat of a private/personal showing of the electric bike, and spend some quality time discussing it with the senior design engineer. This bike is really cool.

We are back home now and ready to dive into completing two motorcycle builds, and would like to offer a huge THANK YOU to the Harley-Davidson Motor Company for all they are doing for us!!

Thanks for the update gears.

How was the livewire?
Things are proceeding well with our Street Bonneville project.
Engine mods being done, and the rolling chassis is now on the operating table
for removal of various parts not needed for landspeed racing.

Great time at Vance & Hines Motorsports in Brownsburg Indiana. My Son/Street 500 Rider Clayton is seen here with Harley-Davidson Screamin’ Eagle®/Vance and Hines rider Eddie Krawiec; who is a three-time NHRA® Pro Stock Motorcycle world champion. Krawiec also runs the cylinder head porting department at V&H.
We are very excited to see the end result for our heads, and very confident the porting/flowing testing job will be second to none.

Also, we spoke about the XG750 engine, and he said with various engine modifications there is an easily attainable 100++ horsepower. :) :)

If you like, please also follow us on Facebook at "Hoosier Daddy Racing - Motorcycle Landspeed Team".
Look forward you having you stop by.

great progress, looking forward to seeing more.
Though installation is not complete, I thought I would show what a nice set of drag bars, or as some of you call them, cafe' bars, would look like.
