Well after owning most makes of bikes and always thinking about Harleys, I've found myself in the position where I'm looking at pulling the trigger on a Harley.

Welcome to the forum, Bus71!

My xg700 has turned out to be a great little commuter bike and adequate for trips to my country house about 200 miles away. It's cheap to run and insure. It's been reliable for 4,300 miles, and the neighbors don't seem to mind me showing up on it.

There are a number of aftermarket accessories available for these bikes if you choose to customize it, but not the selection that is available for older, more established product lines.

All of that being said, what you will soon find out is that the bikes we mostly focus on here, the xg500, xg750, and xg750a are not your typical Harley. I'm not saying that's a good or a bad thing, just don't expect to buy a small displacement, liquid cooled, quiet, mid-control, metric bike and expect the quintessential full on H-D experience. At times I think that H-D thinks of us as "those people" in the previously untapped beginner, female, or overseas markets.
