What is it, chrome, polished stainless steel... I was thinking maybe white, red, blue, or even in Harley's trademark orange. Something other than ALL black.
I have no idea to be honest, check out the rest of the pictures in this thread: http://www.hdstreetforums.com/forum...sche-918-inspired-custom-harley-davidson.htmlWhat is it, chrome, polished stainless steel... red, interesting...Read somewhere recently (sorry - don't remember which site, might have been HD Australia) colours available will be vivid black, denim black & red.
And another thing that caught my eye is the bunched up wires. Looks like a mess that needs to be cleaned up or hidden. Hopefully that can be sorted out before the actual production model of the HD Street comes out.Dang, Harley must be holding out on some stuff. I'd love to see one on red. I do now see the bike the woman is climbing on has the Harley orange on the tank and fender.
BTW, not color related but... check this photo out. The black pipes aren't really the pipes after all. What we see are heat shields or just a styling trick to make the pipes appear larger than they really are. Notice the smaller diameter RUSTY pipe coming off the front cylinder? Not cool.
I assume you're referring to the one's in front of the tank. Yes that is kind of tacky looking. I agree, hopefully it's small things HD needs to sort out before production models hit the showrooms. And another thing that caught my eye is the bunched up wires. To me, and I say again TO ME Harley needs to break away from the bada** black, biker, tough guy image. To truly reach out to a new group of potential buyers they could try maybe.... white, red, blue...You would assume that Harley would offer something with orange on it. After all, Harley's colors are black and orange. I'm not really sure what other colors I would expect.
hey if it keeps the heat down why not.Dang, Harley must be holding out on some stuff. I'd love to see one on red. I do now see the bike the woman is climbing on has the Harley orange on the tank and fender.

I have no problem with the heat shield/styling thing. My point is at least make the headpipe out of stainless so it doesn't rust...hey if it keeps the heat down why not.
I guess this is where they might have cut a corner for the street to be at this price, hopefully I am wrong about this...I have no problem with the heat shield/styling thing. My point is at least make the headpipe out of stainless so it doesn't rust...
