Hello All,
Has anyone made any changes to the appearance after removing the cowl. I have removed it, installed reduced reach handlebars and added a Cobra visor to the headlight. Now the bike looks like a real Harley. But I still find that the brackets holding the cowl are still an eyesore though I have masked it with red reflective tape. Is there any other solution which I have not thought of? Also has anyone installed a heel toe gear shifter and the source to get one.
Thanks

You can remove the cowl brackets if you want.

I took the cowl off too, but haven't found a satisfactory appearance solution for the huge gap between the speedo and the headlight, it just looks -- wrong. Unfinished. So yeah, looking for ideas too...

Here is a heel-toe shifter I bought on eBay for about $50, I believe the company is CNC. An eBay search of "Harley 500 heel shifter" should find it.

You pretty much need to remove the brackets if you ever want to install a windshield or fairing. Memphis shades has a ton of different fairings and windshields (great and small) that look a whole lot better.

I have a batwing on mine. Rode with a friend Saturday who has a 2009 Sportster with a Memphis Shades Tombstone windshield. His windshield snapped right on my bike (both has MS quick releases) but my fairing would not go right on his due to the headlight placement difference, so you can probably also look at Sportster accessories, at least for the front fork.

I have put two reflectors on the brackets where the holes were, rest of the brackets I have covered with reflective tape.
