I left my light on, 500, for about 2 hours or so. any help on starting it back on... i tried to look for the battery, its not under the seat, and i have no clue where it is. any HELP on starting the bike...
Lift the seat and the starter solenoid is located under there, towards the rear and with a plastic cover, if I remember correctly. I've jumped my bike from that. Ground out on a non-painted bolt and use the post on the starter to get juice flowing.
If you jump from a car, make sure it is NOT turned on. You could also put it in third and bump start it if you're near a hill. If you have a substantial ride your battery should charge back up while riding.
The other thing is, If Jumping from a Car, Use a Light Gauge Cable. 10 gauge should be fine. The Heavier Cables have clamps that are hard to use. I bought a set (Motorcycle store online) back awhile ago. They are 10 gauge, 10 Foot long. And have the Small Clamps.
