I adapted some car panel retainer buttons to use as Allen head bolt covers. Instead of the polished steel the buttons cover the bolt head.
I started with some Dorman 963-004D buttons from Advance Auto. Next I cut them down to the third thread on their shafts. The heavy duty Wiss scissors made the cut easily. I cleaned up the cuts. The 4 handle bar bolts and the steering stem bolt are covered now.
You may get better results with a better choice of buttons.

Much like your analog dash clock, I'm guessing that saves a ton of money over the genuine H-D parts!
