I've always used these on my bikes. Had been told nobody made them for Harley's. Discovered this one on AMAZON.....Sound Off Recreational Cruise Control # 074046, about $28.
A few minor modifications are required and the included instructions are terrible. As to mods: the bracket that attaches to the screw UNDERNEATH the throttle assembly needs to be filed down quite a bit for the hole in the bracket to fit over the screw underneath the throttle assembly. And, this same bracket needs to straightened and the end that attaches to the actual throttle lock bent to a sharp right angle. Otherwise, a very simple installation.
I love this throttle lock because it holds the throttle in place, relieving stress on right wrist. Also, you can still rotate the throttle while the lock is engaged. This is great for small speed adjustments as well as emergency braking etc.
Of course, extreme caution is required while using this as the throttle will not automatically reduce speed in case of an accident or emergency braking.... But I've never experienced any such problems and have used these types of throttle locks extensively.

These devices, made by several different companies, have been around for at least 40 years.... But apparently have not previously fit Harley's. Personally, I think they are great. When I've had an emergency situation, my fingers push forward across the throttle grip reaching for the brake lever, thereby reducing speed while braking. In reality, my thumb almost always flips this device off just before braking for any emergencies. Will try to furnish photos later but the photos on the AMAZON sight are pretty good.

My 2000 Road King has a throttle lock. Just a thumb screw under the throttle.

I only use it on long hauls on wide open freeway to give my right hand a break. Too worried about a cager or critter deciding to cause some havoc to use it much though.

Do you have any pictures to show us the one that you use?

Throttle Lock

I am looking for the best throttle lock that can be installed without too much hassle on my Street 750.

Also looking for Tacho, Gear Indicator and Hazard Lights switch/connections to be the mods on the bike.

The HD dealer in Pune, India is currently not equipped to do these mods and is asking for more time to figure out a way to get these done without voiding the electrical warranty.

Any ideas ?
