When it comes to paint I'm a "do it yourself" advocate. It is the one thing that people actually can do for themselves and get outstanding results even though they start out with no experience. Even the flame job shown can be produced by almost anyone with a little practice. Purchase a bare tank and then start painting. The worst case is that it doesn't come out right and then you get to do it again. That's not "work" but instead is a lot of fun to do. I've known professional painters that repaint the same tank over and over in different styles and the tank is never actually used. They repaint the tank just because it's fun to come up with different paint schemes.
