My feet are basically square, being 8 1/2 EEEE. I'd have to twist my foot around a little bit to get it through the Harley or knock off engine guards. There's no time for that when you really need to hit the brake or shift unexpectedly. The top is too high and has too much slope for a leg rest.
All is not lost, though, as there are plenty of aftermarket and even H-D branded highway pegs that clamp onto any 1 1/4" engine guard. I tried to go that route, but my brand X guards were out of round where the pegs were desired.
Another option I really like was crash rods that come straight out from the frame.
