Nothing breaking but the first batch of streets won't actually be available to us...

He's[chief financial officer and senior vice president John Olin] looking forward to more sales with Harley's new Street 500 and 750, which should be available for sale this spring. The company will first re-fleet its Rider's Edge training classes, which had first-time riders start out on the Buell Blast. After those are replaced with the Street 500s, the dealers will have customers sitting on motorcycles they can sell.

"The Street 500 and 750 are great new products," Hastings said. "Some of the traditionalists will like it, but this also opens the door to a whole new customer we can sell to."

I think I read about this before

The Street 500 will sell strong to Riders courses. That means there are going to be lots of trashed Street 500s before we even get ours. Guess thats a good thing? More parts for us.

more parts for us the better :D

at least we now know that we'll be able to find some used parts within a good amount of time once we get our street's
Have you seen photos of the bright orange nerf bars and protective covers the training bikes get? Not much of the original bike gets scuffed up in falls. Even the muffler has a big ugly orange protective hoop around it. Considering that dealers in the US at least are still using Buell Blasts for Riders Edge courses I wouldn't bet on Street 500 training bikes being parted out in the immediate future.

I agree.
Due to how cheap they are they might just fix them, no point in replacing them, depending on the damage.
