I was wondering what everyone is seeing for fuel mileage on their bikes? I was originally getting about 47 mpg from my stock 500 but with the last few fill ups since I switched to clubmans, I've been getting 52 mpg (consistently). I'm not sure if it's the motor breaking in, or riding style or just better weight distribution and a serious reduction in wind drag as I've actually found myself riding it more aggressively (minus corners) since installing the clubman bars. I also use premium fuel and do a lot of city and short trip riding and on weekends tend to do longer rides.
I got around 35 mpg on the first two tanks, since then 55 mpg. I ride mostly back roads, often staying in 5th gear and not downshifting. I use 87 octane (owners manual says it s ok, I thought I'd give it a try).
At this point over 5.5k miles clocked in on my 750, and predominantly driving in the inner city, the absolute lowest mpg that I have seen is 37, highest was 55....and my average is around mid to upper 40s.
