Hey guys. Will be putting the payment to secure my first Harley soon. Expected delivery will be December / January.

Welcome to the forum. I haven't seen many from West Australia but that doesn't mean that they don't exist. Your bike should arrive at just the right time for Australian summer. It should be a great riding season for you.

No in all honesty I think our lack of Aussies is due to deliveries being farther out there still...

what are you riding at the moment?

Hey mate. Unfortunately at the moment no bike for me. Not ridden in about 5 years due to the girlfriend being against it. Every other night there is a news report about some idiot rider getting taken out usually because they were speeding and she used to always worry i wouldnt come home.
Been getting her used to the idea of me getting back on a bike though, and when i saw the street news, i stepped up the campaign.
She has almost come round and doesnt know i am pre ordering one next week, but i will be riding again this summer regardless.

Hey Livin On. Yeah the news will get out there to other aussies closer to release date. I mentioned the street in an aussie forum and none of the harley riders in there had heard of it. 2 guys were dead against it, but one guy thought it looked great and was going to do some more research.
Maybe worth a mention that the 750 will not be getting released in Oz, mainly due to the 883 market i was told.

That makes for three of us on here now. Yourself, me & there was another who was purchasing one from Geelong Harley in Victoria.

I put my deposit down last November (three days after the Milan release). Its a bloody long wait!

I just picked up my service manual today. Part number is 99611-15A if you want to order it through your local dealer. Australian price is $75.

I tried ordering an oil filter for it (62700045) but the part number does not come up on the HD Australia system yet.

Welcome aboard. No, I'm not from the Left Coast of Australia but I am from the Left Coast of the US here in the Great NW near Seattle WA.

I have always wanted to visit Perth predominately because of the Lightening Ridge opal mines. Opals are my favorite gemstones and I've purchased gorgeous black opals directly from the mines at Lightening Ridge in the past.

Keep working on the GF and always ride safely when you get back in the saddle.

Really, now thats interesting as our indian friends are only getting the 750 and not the 500 despite the popularity of the 883 over there. We had a few members actually bail out of the 750 for the 883...

Maybe there is not enough supply for all markets to have both 500 and 750, or perhaps its a demand thing... hmm...

Try not to keep up the subterfuge too much longer, women have this odd habit of getting upset when they;re not told the truth...

Likely a demand thing, i think they did their research and discovered that it may not be a good idea to bring it out now due to the market. Or maybe for some other reason

Haha thanks for the advice Livin On. I will be letting her know soon enough. She has pretty much accepted it, but I still want her to be happy about it. Usually I have gone with the thinking easier to seek forgiveness than ask permission, but for a purchase this size, I don't think I will get the forgiveness as usual.
